Chinese Club of San Marino planted a Ginko tree in Lacy Park on Arbor Day, March 12, 2007 and this marked the 10th anniversary for this special event. Every year Chinese Club plants a tree with the help
from Mr. Ron Serven, Park Manager of Parks and Public Works Department. The tree was donated by the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Los Angeles with the attendance of Mr. Morgan Chao, the Deputy Director-General and Mr. Andrew Yang, Division Director.

March 12 is also the national Arbor Day in Taiwan that commemorates Dr. Yat-Sen Sun, the founding father of Republic of China. The Chinese Club continues this traditional event to keep Lacy Park as one of the best civic park in the nation.

Also in attendance were Mayor Matthew Lin, City Council members Bob Twist, Betty Brown, and the newly elected Eugene Sun and Dennis Knier.
